Billet 7075 Dana 60 Knuckles 99-04

$2,500.00

These knuckles are a direct bolt in replacement for 99-04 Super Duty Dana 60 knuckles. They were designed after ripping the welds of the high steer arm off of stock knuckles and wanting a solution that didn't require welding or bolting the arm on--a single monolithic knuckle. This knuckle is machined from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum and has a variety of features:

-A 304 stainless steel ring press fits onto the unit bearing and allows the knuckle bore to be oversized so a RCV can be installed fully assembled. No more messing with the boot behind the knuckle, just slide the whole axle in and out.

-Brake caliper mounts rotated up for more clearance

-Brake caliper and steering knuckle holes have steel inserts to avoid bolts directly contacting the aluminum and wallowing holes out

-Steering knuckle matches the Artec tie rod location, and includes a second inboard tie rod hole

-Knuckle fits stock ball joints

-Knuckle is ~40% the weight of a stock knuckle with high steer arm

-Increased unit bearing nut access

The billet knuckles are drastically lighter than stock and can utilize all stock hardware and inner Cs, and were analyzed with long hand and finite element. The prototype knuckles have been been used for over a year with mixes of rock crawling (KOH, Sand Hollow, SW Utah) and go fast terrain (BOR desert racing series, KOH prerunning, SW Utah).

The knuckles are engineered in SW Utah, and machined overseas to keep prices as reasonable as possible (though stateside manufacturing can be quoted if desired). Knuckle design can also be customized--different brake, unit bearing, tie rod/high steer location, ball joints, etc. can be modified at an added cost.
